Relay over optic fiber
The family of ELO adapters for binary signals transfer over optics has five members – from ELO E203 to ELO E207.
They are able to transfer up to five signals over multimode optic fiber 50/125 um, or 62.5/125 um. The maximum range is 2 km.
They can be used for instance in situations like transfer a relay contact from door, optic gate, infra sensors do a central building over the open space, where the atmospheric discharges can be expected.
Models ELO E204 and ELO E205 are scanning 5 binary signals. All inputs are galvanic isolated and they are destined to scan the binary states of the external circuits (sensors, relays, contactors). The input voltage from 0 to 3.0 V is interpreted as log.0, from 4.5 to 24 V as log.1. Power take of each input is less than 6 mA.
ELO E205 can scan the potential-free contacts because of its internal galvanic isolated supply 24V / 40 mA.
ELO E206 presents from optic fiber received data as five data outputs O1 to O5 and one confirmation output. The output semiconductor relays (SSR) outputs are table to switch AC voltages to 24 V and DC voltages to 48V. The load capability of each output is up to 0.5A.
Models ELO E203 and ELO E207 are destined for bidirectional duplex transfer (over a couple of optic fibers).
- adapters are suitable for DIN rail mounting, their width is 23 mm only,
- inputs and outputs can be connected through the terminal blocks,
- input and output states are indicated on the front panel
- optic connectors are ST type,
- adapter needs a supply with nominal value 9 – 24 V DC, limit values are 7 – 30 V.
